Minny @ 18th is hilarious
It's an all-time list and they've won 7 national championships and 18 Big Ten titles. That's 2/3 of their total right there.

Oh sure, they haven't won a share of the Big Ten title since 1967, and haven't been to the Rose Bowl since the final weeks of the Eisenhower administration......😏

That’s what makes it hilarious. They’ve nothing to show for over 50 years.

See Nebraska 30 years from now....and they'll also still be very high on that list. 😖

Maybe I need to modify my weighting criteria? Any suggestions?

I could shorten it from "all-time" to "last 50 years" but I feel like it should be "all-time" for credibility.

How about the last 20 years.

I think "all-time" lists hold more gravitas.

Sure, we could cherry-pick timeframes, but I'd rather not.

I get that for recruiting, growing the fanbase and modernizing your brand it would be more prudent to just focus on the last 20 years, but I'll let someone else compile that type of list. It definitely wouldn't serve the Nebraska's and Minnesota's of the world very well. ;)

Id add a current list also and do 15 years or so. Maybe even 10 to see where a program is.

This whole metric and equation should really start when two platoon, modern football started in the mid to late 1950's. The old records before that time do not reflect the last 60 years, let alone the last 40 years.

Clemson and Georgia have really climbed in points just over the last 5-6 years.

Iowa is definitely a top 25 team over the last 40 years. We all know they were a powerhouse in the 1950's before the 20 years in the desert.
