Iowa is Most Popular Bet to Win the 2021 National Championship (but NOT the favorite to win it!)

Sportsline has released some data surrounding some of the early bets for the 2021 men's college basketball title.

Iowa leads the way with 31 percent of total money wagered. As you can see below (chart on right), that's more than double of any other team.

In addition, 30 percent of the tickets sold bet on Iowa to win the title. That's four times more than the second closest team (chart on left).

Sportsline has the Hawkeyes as the Favorite to win the National Championship next season.

That is incorrect. As you can see in the orig post:

* Iowa has 30/1 odds to win the National Championship. DUKE, GONZAGA, KANSAS, and KENTUCKY are all at 10/1 odds.

* And just because Iowa leads the way with 31 percent of total money wagered doesn't mean they are the favorite to win the National Championship.

* And just because 30 percent of the tickets sold bet on Iowa to win the title doesn't mean Iowa is the favorite to win the National Championship.
