I am going off of what the website says is their hometown. I have noticed many use their place of birth, while others use where they went to high school.

True, but like he said, he's using info from the team website, which lists where they lived before college or where they went to high school.

Joly moved to the U.S. when he was 10 years old if I recall correctly.

This is cool. How exactly did you set this up? I don't use google much beyond e-mail.

I have two windows open, one with the team's website, the other with "Google My Maps". Go to create new map. Copy and paste the location into google and place a marker. Then you can change the marker to whatever you want like Iowa's logo (go into the custom area and do a search). A new layer was created for each team.
