There you have it... even Reynold's running mate can't stand her corruption.

Now, does that open up Pat Grassley's path to fall into the Governorship if the Dim One appoints herself to fill Senile Chuck's seat?

Weird that this is literally on the ballot this Fall.

Gregg is actually a pretty good guy. Wish he hadn’t attached himself to Reynolds. Taking a job as the head of the Iowa Bankers Association is pretty cushy and secure.

Also makes me wonder if Reynolds isn’t running again in 2026. My money is probably on the no side. If Dems ever want a chance, this would be it if Sand runs.

I assume the usual suspects will be along to tell us that a guy just left office to take a job as a highly paid lobbyist. He was literally just working on issues that were favorable to the IBA, and now he's their highly paid leader.
Oh, but, he's doing this to open more time with his kids.. He will put in more hours at the IBA than he did as Lt. Governor.

I don't think she is running again. She'll will have a full term plus a partial, her husband has had health issues, and she is in her late 60s. Her time to really cash in will be in 2027 after leaving office. I would place a healthy wager that she goes straight to the trough of the Farm Bureau, and the school voucher backers. She is going to get paid for services rendered.

I might not understand what you're saying.

Reynolds will eventually appoint someone and that person will be on the ballot in 2026. Until she does, the Iowa Senate President holds the spot for now.

And if Sands doesn’t, does this mean :”The sands runs out”?

In the press release of his resignation he gave a shoutout to his new employer. He isn't really trying to hide much.
When did he start negotiating with the IBA? What state work did he do that benefited his new employer?

They probably contacted him….now he can start doing presentations for the Iowa High School Boys/Girls Associations at their tournaments! ;)
I think he’d have more fun at Central football games…

I like how this could very well be the reason that he is leaving and truly believes he will have more time for his kids and perhaps less travel. But, you’d know more than he and clearly he is leaving because he can’t stand Kim. Even if he were leaving because of Kim, he’s far from being the first person to leave a job because they didn’t like it or the person they work with.
Not defending Kim but I just love the jump to conclusions.

Face it. Kim has a 100 percent turnover rate at Lt Gov

We'll see how this plays out.

Given what we know about how this State's Republicans operate, nothing is off the table.

The key here is what Senile Chuck does. He ain't gonna live long enough to become the longest serving US Senator in history, so I don't know what motivation he still has?

I fully expect the Dim One to name Gregg's replacement relatively soon.

And if I left my current job, my boss would have 100% turnover rate as well as I’m the only one in the position much like iowa only has 1 Lt Gov. My boss is great but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t leave for a different job if one came along that I think I would like more.
Face that.

I didn’t say a word about some friction with Kim. I said it’s scummy to be a state leader and enter into secret negotiations with a lobbying / trade group that you actively worked with in your government job.
