Iowa now in line for 2-seed in BTT

This is the best 2-week stretch of sports, imo.

Major conferences finishing up their regular seasons, a lot of mid-majors starting their conference tourneys, and then all the mid-major conference tourney championships & major conference tourneys next week.

Every single game is do or die for the mid-majors and the major conference teams starting their respective conference tourneys 'outside the bubble'.

These 2 weeks are prime examples of why I love sports. (the NCAA Tournament, when Iowa is involved, is just the icing on the cake)

Any chance KM returns next season? He should and do some time in the weight room. With him, Tony, both Sandfords and Dix back along with next season's recruits it would be fun. What think you?

If I’m reading it right, we have just under an 80% chance of getting a 2, 3 or 4 seed correct?
Beat Nebraska in the finale and I think there have to be some pretty convoluted scenarios that have to happen for Iowa not to get a double bye. Only team above us that we don’t have the tiebreaker over is northwestern.

I think the chances of KM returning are low. He had a lot of pressure on him to excel this year like his brother did and Kris has done it. He could use more time/work on using his right hand but when his stroke is on he can gun the treys. He could work on his mid range jumpers. But if he leaves and of course gets drafted then he can work on his game and muscle level 100% of the time. No classes.

He’s a consensus first round pick.

No, just 1 of Northwestern, Maryland, or Michigan has to lose once.
And I really like the chances of both the Terps and Wolverines dropping at least one of their final 2 games this week. 5 of the 6 games are on the road for the teams we need to lose at least once.

Maryland
@ OSU, tonight
@ PSU, this weekend

Michigan
@ Illinois, tomorrow night
@ Indiana, this weekend

and for completion's sake, Northwestern
vs PSU, tonight
@ Rutgers, on Sunday evening

(probly should be rooting for a Rutgers loss @ Minnesota tomorrow night, just for the sake of being extremely safe [in case of the off-chance of a Hawkeye loss on Sunday vs the Huskers)

All good news. I just hope that the team doesn't start reading their press clippings and patting themselves on the back like Indiana basketball was prior to our last game with them and the Iowa football team was prior to their season finale against Nebraska.

I'm hoping that the Michigan St game was a springboard for this team to make a nice March run. If they can continue to play with the urgency that they did the last 90 seconds of regulation in that game, we might just get it.

Gotta love November and December too! BB, FB, & wrestling.
With you on March as well. I'm amped for the next several weeks!
