Not sure if anyone has followed this story, but Austin Nichols recently requested a transfer from the Memphis hoops team, and at first was denied his release, but now was given his conditional relase.
Nichols is a pretty good player. Averaged 13 points 6 boards last year. He may have been a candidate for player of the year in the AAC.
Anyway, I just saw a tweet, rewteeted by Morehouse, that stated he is unable to transfer to another AAC school, any school on Memphis's Non-Con Schedule this upcoming year and Tennesee, Providence, Virginia and Iowa.
My question is, what connection could Iowa possibly have that they would be on this restricted list?
