Iowa (or the B10) needs to find new announcers...

The announcers for the Iowa-Indiana match (on BTN2Go) were horrible...just horrible. If you're going to be a wrestling announcer, at the very least know how to pronounce the name of the the boys wrestling and maybe the top 1-3 wrestlers at each weight class (and any other wrestler you decide to talk about). Both the primary announcer and the female sidekick had me convinced this was their first time covering a wrestling meet...though I'm sure it wasn't. Embarrassing! That' said, the Hawks kicked it...love seeing the high scoring offense this year!

Way to bash on the students that run the show for BTN Plus programming. They aren't professionals. Be glad you were able to watch it.

I am glad I was able to watch...and am more than happy to give the B10 network $15.00 per month so I can watch B10 sports on BTN2goPlus. That being said, for my $15.00 per month, and for the 8,000 fans who attended the meet, I think we deserve to have announcers who know a little about wrestling...that's all. I try to catch most of the B10 meets so I can see for myself what other B10 schools are bringing to the table...and the meets are much more enjoyable when we have announcers who know something about wrestling. I won't apologize for having moderate expectations...but appreciate you shouting out from your moral high ground...

I only pay $9.90 and I have to agree with LutherAce. I always have the sound turned off because I'm only interested in watching and not listening although you do have a point.

I think it's cool that BTN gives students such a great learning opportunity and resume boost.

Also helps them say it's about the students/academics as well (not just athletics).

Surprising that Nebraska, home of the "Illegal Fist in the Back" guys now have two very good announcers, Rob Sanders and Austin somebody. They may be the best crew in the B1G. I like the Rutger guys and Minny does a nice job with Reiter & crew but they are sometimes absent. Ohio State is okay with Bergman. Byers was the all-time worst for his vilifying of the ref at the MN-PSU last year, but he has redeemed himself and is doing a good job this year.
