Id love to see some of the matches and or the results if anyone can post them it would be much appreciated.
Also if there is a way we can view online with paid or unpaid access that anyone knows about please post that also.

You can watch the Donnybrook if you have Rokfin. Independence Invite and Gardner Edgerton are on FLO. Track has(will have) brackets and updates for you for all 3.

Thanks, I have Flo and I guess I’m signing up for Rokfin this season, it now seems worth It plus the duals are on rokfin also.
I also have Big10+ More wrestling the better. I no longer go to any other sporting events so wrestling is it for me.

Watching some of the Gable tourney here in Coralville. No real surprises that I've noticed. First impression of Bas Diaz from WSR...very technical, calculating. Looks small for his weight.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news to but word out of pa is that Iowa recruit kolby Franklin lost wrestle offs at 95 and 220. Sem is stacked with talent. Personally I still love him as a recruit.

who did he lose to at 195? darrah is good at 220

I hope it's just something off with him because that's not a good look when your supposed future at 195 can't even make his high school team.

Griffith loses 3-2 in the finals to Walrath at the Independence tournament. These two met at Super 32 where Walrath got the fall on the championship side, before mff in the 7th place match.

N. Jesuroga wins by major in the finals at Gardner. His opponent got a td of his own, but it was all Jesuroga after that.

J. Jesuroga's gets a td straight to opponent's back, settles in and gets the fall in the finals.

Carter Martinson wins 5-2 in the finals.

Carson Martinson took 3rd.

No inside info here, but was that just for who would go which weight for the Ironman tourney as it looks like the upper weights for the tourney are condensed?

For Ironman, Wyoming Sem has Gabe Arnold at 175, Jude Correa at 190, Jack Darrah at 215, and Kolby Franklin at hwt.

Not sure totally but he lost at 90 and 215 so heavyweight was the only option for ironman

good call. i'm guessing this is it unless correa can't hold 182 where he's ranked.

He is supposed to be better than them.
Not really. They are all ranked around the same. One going to Stanford. One Iowa. Don’t know where the other is but sem recruits the top kids in the nation. You have four to five kids fighting for four spots all ranked top ten in the rankings!!

Weight class rankings are a lot different than pfp rankings. Correa is only a freshman. The talent level changes we made to get on top again were a huge key. I'm concerned
because other than Kennedy I don't see one non starter projected to be in the lineup that I'm confident in being AA level next year. We can't afford to miss on guys. Kolby already a lower pfp than Warner was to begin with but known to be a hard worker so I was anticipating him building momentum. Our competition is landing top 10 pfp guys left and right. It feels a bit like we are drifting back into a quantity philosophy over quality. It's been shown a team needs at least 5 high AA guy to be in title discussion. We had 6 last year with a low AA thrown in. Next year looks like 3 on paper (Kennedy, Warner and Cass)

Kueter won a big match in the finals. He has a BIG decision to make. Don't know how its going to work out playing football and wrestling but he is legit just hoping for me he decides to be more into wrestling for Iowa but playing on Sunday is a possibility for him also.

good points. i think one reason to not be too concerned yet about franklin is he's really athletic and that is a stronger indicator of success at 197 than it sometimes is at other weights. we've seen lots of guys come in and surprise at 197. warner is something of an example in the opposite direction. he was dominant in high school, but some guys he beat soundly in high school (brucki for example) quickly caught up to him.

we'll just have to keep an eye on correa. he could end up being transcendent too and make this look like no big deal.

I think Ayala will be a 4xAA.

When ISU brags up beating our 125lber you have to keep in mind that they beat our 3rd in the room 125lber and I have little doubt in that. Drake is not wrestling because he is redshirting, not because he isn't 2nd best in the room at 125.

I think based on what we have seen out of Ybarra to this point, I'd be more than a little stunned if Ayala isn't markedly better right now (don't care at all what might happen in the room with a teammate, it's what you do versus opponents not wearing the same singlet that matters).

And yes Ayala needs to keep that redshirt intact and come out with a fury next year. I'm cautiously optimistic he's going to be the next in line in a very long line of Black and Gold Hammers at 125.

Anyone know anything about Cashman? Is Ybarra just better?

Have to assume he is, or he likely wouldn't be out there. Tom likes to reward guys like Cashman when he can, but he probably wants to get Ybarra's feet wet too.
