Some really great performances by incoming Iowa recruits at the Iowa State Wrestling Tournament this weekend.

* Ben Kueter went pin-pin-pin-tech fall to win his fourth straight state title, this time at 220 lbs. He finished 39-0 this season and got bonus points in every match; he also finished 111-0 for his career, becoming the 7th Iowan to finish an undefeated prep career. Kueter, of course, is planning to wrestle AND play football at Iowa.

* Ryder Block won a title at 138 lbs via 11-4 decision. He finished the season 45-0 and finished his prep career 159-1, with three state titles and one runner-up appearance. His only career loss was in the 2021 state final.

* Gabe Arnold won a much-hyped battle over Tate Naaktgeboren at 182 lbs, 2-1 in tiebreakers. Arnold is headed to Iowa and Naaktgeboren is headed to ISU, so we could see this rivalry continue in college. They wrestled four times this season and Arnold swept all four matches.

* Finally, Maddux Borcherding-Johnson also won a state title with a 3-1 win at heavyweight. He isn't planning to wrestle at Iowa, but he is coming to Iowa to play football. Can never have enough linemen with strong wrestling backgrounds.

Congrats to all four guys on winning state titles.
