Off to a good start with 30-10 win over Aurora. Diaz looked a little off, don't know if the shoulder is bothering her but she pulled it out. Ava Bayless got pinned with a headlock throw. Hawks are fortunate to have Blades, man is she slick with her moves. I think Diduch got beat but didn't see all of that match. Looking ahead to North Central likely in championship tomorrow night, will be interesting with Bela Mir going against one of her former teammates, probably Larramendy. Wartburg should be this afternoon in next round. Chun has been wanting to get them scheduled with Hawks as they are a great Iowa women's wrestling program.

Edit: I think it was Ava Rose who got pinned.

Hawks take down Wartburg 42-1 in quarterfinals. Hawks swept the matches. Only a couple of contested matches with Leng and White winning by decision. Semi finals tomorrow morning against McKendree.

Hawks beat McKendree 33-11 to set up the showdown with North Central this afternoon. Hope Sterling can rebound, she lost again, doesn't really matter but will lose that #1 ranking. A couple of matches that could decide this afternoon might be Bri Gonzalez and of course the last match at hwy (not sure if I can say that in women's wrestling) where Foeller would wrestle the #1 for the team championship.

Won 28-13 in the finals against North Central, only losing 2 matches (Frost at 131 and White at 207). Team score wasn't as dramatic as last years 21-20 matchup but just about each of the 10 matches wrestled were exciting and very hard fought from both wrestlers

Bri with the great comeback against the #1 ranked lady. Kilty, Blades, Larramendy and Welker are a killers row. North Central lost a lot of competitive matches and the championship in Coralville will come down to how these two come out in the semis and finals.
