Just purchased my Hotel. Got a deal through the Priceline.com express deal.

$99 per night in Midtown East for a 4 star hotel. Ended up being the double tree by Hilton metropolitan. Fantastic deal. We are doing 4 nights.

Edited to add that this deal probably won't last much longer so if on the fence, this would save you at least 125-200 per night.

Flights out of des Moines are 325 each.

If you are willing to drive to Chicago, flights on Spirit are $160. Granted they are shitty no frills airline, but if you are okay with that that's what we are doing.

Just got my Rutgers tickets. $75 on the 40 Yd line. Not many left in the lower level but still some very good seats.

Terrehawk and others going to the game--If you park at The RAC,our basketball arena, the price is $20 which includes a Free shuttle bus to the stadium. Make sure you are on the bus at least an hour before kickoff. If you don't mind paying a little more,Saint George Church on River Road in Piscataway, charges $35 but is only a three or four minute walk to the stadium. If you park at the church, I would make sure I got there at least two hours before kickoff. They allow tailgating and also sell food there. Hope all attend have a good trip.

Coming in from train in NYC. Looks like station is a good distance from the stadium? How is best to get there?

Terrehawk,
Some people walk from the station to the stadium (I would say it is about 1.5 miles). The walk is through the oldest section of the university which opened in 1766. In recent years, there have been Free shuttle buses running from the Rutgers Barnes and Noble Bookstore, which is right next to the station,to the stadium. To the best of my knowledge, they will still be available this year. You may want to check scarlet knights.com periodically to make sure--look under facilities, then High Point Solutions Stadium, then travel directions. You could also try the ticket office at 866-445-4678 as the season gets closer. My bet is that we still have them.

Just got mine! Going to drive up from Maryland. Probably the only game I will get to this year. Did I see somewhere that the NYC I-Club was hosting a tailgater or something????

Pretty certain it is a noon local (11CST) start time.
Nothing official yet. With it being Iowa and their home opener, I wonder if they might be considering an afternoon start or even an evening game.

Hope not. That would screw up my plans

They need to call it soon though

I thought it was Rutgers HC, my bad.

Game time won't be announced until either 12 or 6 days prior to kickoff if it hasn't been announced yet.

No game time announced yet--I will be very surprised if it is a Noon kickoff, because we already have some scheduled and almost all Rutgers fans hate Noon games.--Homecoming is against Illinois.--Visitors sections are usually somewhere between 110-114. If you get seats there, try to get rows as high as you can to get a good angle.--For those looking for a Visitors Guide, there is one under the facilities section on scarlet knights.com. If anyone is looking to head to the ocean, nearest beaches are about 30 minutes from Piscataway/New Brunswick. If you want to drive a bit farther, Island Beach State Park is beautiful ( and a great place for fishing).

I think we are 25 rows up on about the 40 yard line. I assume those are good seats though right?
