We are excited to kick-off the 50th Iowa Shrine Bowl this weekend at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls. We are thrilled to have a handful of future Hawkeyes participating again this year. Future Hawkeyes Aaron Graves, Landyn Van Kekerix and Luke Gaffney are participating in the game this weekend. The game is on Saturday at 4:00 PM. In addition to the game, we'll have a parade and pep-rally/autograph session in downtown Cedar Falls Saturday morning at 9:30 AM. The game will be televised by Mediacom (MC22) and streamed online by MC22 and Shriners Minneapolis & Iowa Shrine Bowl's Facebook Page. If you are interested in tickets, you can buy in advance at www.iowashrinebowl.org or at the gate.

Last year's game was a huge success, in addition to an incredible football game with MVP performances from Cooper DeJean and Karson Sharar the Iowa Shrine Bowl raised $100,000 for the Shriners Hospitals. The support the Iowa Shrine Bowl gets from so many in this state is greatly appreciated and allows us to make contributions like we did last year to the Shriners Hospitals!

Great opportunity for the players, most importantly money to help sick kids. If you click on UI Herk's link in his first paragraph you can see the rosters of the North and South teams.

Played in 2002 in L-Ames. Such an amazing event. Going to the Shrine Hospital in MN was the highlight for me. Pretty sure my signature decreased the value of the football it was on, but the kids really enjoyed our presence.
