Iowa State loses the other 9 weights and meet 38-3.

“We’re not in the rebuilding phase anymore,” he said. “We’ve built it. Now, we’re ready to take that step and move forward with our program. I feel really good about that.” - Kevin Jackson

And here I was about to congratulation our Cyclone brethren about a nice dual win ................................ but as per normal, a bit of sarcasm from the queso. For those wondering, the final was 38-3 Cowpokes.

Lol, the headine drew me in. Nice post

Why doesn't Terry Brands take a stab at being a head coach at ISU? I was reading an article where he was offered the job when Cael left back in the day, but turned it down. If not Terry, would love to see someone come in and turn the program around to at least bring some respectability back. I'm a Hawk to the bone, but would love to be able to cheer on both schools...

You must not have read some of the latest chatter on the Clone forum! Some idiot claims Terry contacted Pollard after reconsidering the offer to be HC, but Pollard had already offered the job to Jackson. Good stuff, right there.

College wrestling must not be high on Pollard's list of ..."Ten things I give a shit about".

He has a sweetheart deal in IC. No reason to take on the pressures of a major D1 job at this point.

ramos dennis mcd clark gman might have alittle something to do with it and spencer ncaas are just a jumping off place for these guys .

I am an idiot, I saw the dual score a few days ago and this thread still drew me in....not sure if an F you is in order or a touche......none the less touche

would have to assume that there is not a lot of fan base complaining to AD about the situation. Especially fan base that contributes large money.
With a shrinking fan base and a losing program, makes it easier for AD to pull the plug on wrestling at ISU.

They need to hand it over to Bono who would likely bring Reader with him and maybe Schoop as well. It just needs to happen

I don't think things ended well as Bono left Ames last time. Whether Pollard holds grudges or wants to have a winning program would be a decision he would need to make.

I have seen quotes from some ISU fans that Bono would not be welcomed back. Until recently, KJ's guys have stayed off the police blotter. That might be the trigger that hastens his exit.

Is it a legitimate question to wonder whether SDSU will place higher than ISU at the newly expanded B12 tournament?
