What’s the outcome? Besides a win and we all storm the field .. etc.. where do we rank with the victory and what does this do for our season? Do we stumble the next game at MSU or down the line? Or do we ride the wave all the way to an undefeated season? No loss is a good one ... and no moral victories are good.. but sometimes it feels good to think the “what if’s” even though it doesn’t matter it’s still kinda interesting to think of the possibilities... yes they lost but this might actually help them down the line as the games will get even tougher this just might be a blessing in disguise as PSU will not run the table this year they will end up dropping one or 2 games and no one will go undefeated in the BT.. not even Wisconsin..

I'd say closer to the 15-17 range with PSU still ranked ahead of us.

It'd rank as one of Ferentz's biggest regular season wins, obviously, but it also would probably not be garnering AS MUCH attention from the media had Iowa won.

I've tried to take in some of the media talk and reactions from the game on Monday. Most of it was gushing about Saquon Barkley as the greatest player/running back of the 2000s. Some say since Barry Sanders. Some say best CFB player ever.

That's what this f***ing game did.......because Penn State won.

If PSU loses, the narrative is Iowa shakes up the Big Ten, credit to Iowa and their defense, how does this affect Penn State's playoff hopes............."how does this affect their playoff hopes", that's the kind of sh** you'd hear from the media had Iowa won. That's it.

They would give some credit to Wadley. They'd give some credit to Ferentz. Mention how good the Iowa defense is, while throwing out how many yards they gave up, and they'd mention the Wave and the children's hospital again and that's it.

Then it'd be right back to Barkley's performance in a losing effort, and "what about Penn State?"........

But I agree that losing this game can be a blessing in disguise. Losing this game keeps a young-ish team with a sophomore QB and a first year OC hungry.
