How is it that Iowa always has really good to great TE's? It's truly remarkable how they can rinse and repeat. And it streaches back almost a generation. Heck, the Fry years had great TE's.

I would say it's because of all the TE's the hawks put in the league. High school players see this and want to be part of it and know the nfl looks to iowa for great te's

We don't always get the cream of the TE crop out of high school. What we do have is an NFL style system and S&C program.

The current TE class has a chance to be our best ever which is saying a lot.

Iowa always has good, to great lineman. TE's at Iowa first learn to be lineman, then learn to be tight ends.

It really IS sad that the bigger-time TEs don't come to Iowa (not at all saying our 2-3* guys don't do well; they usually do) but it DOES make sense..

..The Hawks have got to win more, especially the primetime @ Penn State's and Wisconsin games that decide the Big Ten West. Your 4* players follow the wins and follow the spotlight.

Higher-caliber victories = a more-talked about program == 4* TEs wanting to represent the Iowa uniform.
