Kudos to the administration for not trying to hide anything and accepting the verdict.
Bond literally handed the athlete an envelope of cash. Pretty sure any coach who's given money to an athlete first-hand like that has been fired. It's fair Iowa had to vacate those wins - the athlete was ineligible. The punishment otherwise is minimal. Good riddance to bad rubbish. The program is in good hands under Vicky Brown! It's simply amazing how this worked, granted I don't know all the details and how long it actually took. A player said they got paid, the HEAD coach was suspended and then fired, and sanctions were placed on the team / University. I guess it goes to show you what the NCAA thinks of volleyball and U of I. Players in other sports admit they get paid and other than a few articles and a black eye for the school for a short while nothing happens, and rarely does a head coach get any punishment. It makes you wonder if Bond thought he could get away with it or what the thought process was, no bag man or ast coach to take the fall??
