This roster is something else. Deficient at all positions.

Without a post threat, the offense really has a hard time getting good 3pt looks. So that is a problem.
The defense is of course bad. We'll wonder what would have happened if Fran had played some Mulvey vs
Illiniois 7fter to not let him get hot and confident.
We look like Lickliter level talent. Illinois isn't a great team. Pretty soft and bad 3pt shooting.

You don’t teach defense, you recruit it. Kids from West Des Moines and West Africa clearly don’t excel at it.
Firing Fran will be the easiest thing that Beth will do.

At least Beth has a front row seat, hopefully taking notes. It's hard to fathom how a team like Iowa fighting to making the Big Ten tournament can start the game so uninspiring. It falls on the coach.
