They put themselves in this position over the last month. Using the word “managed” is hilarious. They have done the same thing for 20+ years. No continuous improvement or adjustments………that’s the hard part, which we don’t do. Easy money.

Over the past 4 seasons, Kirk's teams have been 16-1 during the months of Nov and Dec against Big 10 competition. Since 1999 the record is 56-34 -- so yeah, definitely Kirk's teams make improvement and adjustments, maybe not always obvious to the fans and maybe not always on offense, but the bottom line is whether you win or lose the game. Yeah, Minnesota won the battle of the stats yesterday -- do you think they are happy about that? When we needed to make a big play offensively, we connected to our #2 TE. So we "managed" to win the game, running our record to 7-4.

OMG, the game threads from this season confirms what we all know. A significant portion of our fanbase acts like they are suffering from PMS.

Interesting that this was the first FBS game without a penalty called since 1986, my first year after graduating from Iowa. Great win Hawks, LFG and win 3 more this season!
