Iowa (15-7, 5-6) heads north to take on the Gophers after an epic upset of USC.

Minnesota (18-6, 6-5) is reeling a bit after losing 2 straight games (USC & UCLA) but are 12-1 at home this season.

Unfortunately, I think the hawks crash back to earth tonight and lose a tough one 77-69

Minnesota presents some tough matchups, Stewart in particular from 3. Will be interesting to see Iowa’s plan. Watching Minnesota, sure wish Iowa would have recruited McKinney. Long and athletic, something in short supply on Iowa side.

Dawn Plitzuweit emphasizes defense; Gophers will force more TOs than USC. I don’t foresee a high scoring game …first team to 60 wins.
Iowa 66
Minnesota 63

My concern as well after a very emotional day/game with USC win.

I saw an offense vs. USC that had a bright light clicking on. More than just making shots, it was actually finding open shots for different players. Movenent to the lane from every guard, actions where everyone was on the same page. This started with Washington and found the gear with USC.

I'm not sure anyone understands why it took so long, but here we are. Lucy with the stone off her back. With a good scout, and proper effort from the tip, there is no reason to think Minnesota is the better team.

Tough sledding to get up to Minneapolis, but this becomes a streak with a 4th game tonight.

I use this against people that say CC didn't exist before Angel did the hand wave. This game got the attention of ESPN and the rest of the nation, and it never left after that point.
Please. Ask Louisville if CC22's 41 pt triple double (never done by ANY player of either gender) in the elite 8, followed by the next game slaying the goliath of S Carolina with another 41 pt effort. Like she needed Reese to shine. That moment put Reese on the map, not the other way around.....

Must be losing my mind. According to ESPNBET it's Minn -1.5.

Almost everyone else has it flipped with Iowa giving up -1 to -1.5.
It actually started at Iowa -4.5 according to the 'Line Movement Tracker' section.

02/06/2025, 12:17 PM-1 -110
02/06/2025, 10:36 AM-3.5 -110
02/06/2025, 10:06 AM-4.5 -110
It seemed to be settling in around Iowa giving up -1 to -1.5. That's why I was surprised to see ESPNBET flipped on it.
On the other hand, guess from reading that twitterX post from @EagleHawk on an extended plane delay and a whole team having dinner @ 12:30a could move the line more than the others have.

3 years ago today....

Clark liked to pick on Michigan, it seems. Beat them by 20+ in the freshman season. Next season, after that loss, beat them by 20+ in the last regular season game to clinch Big Ten championship and prevent Michigan from doing so. Had a tight win in the junior season. And last season, 49 points and a new NCAA women's scoring record, followed up by a 30-point beatdown in the Big Ten tournament.

Reese became infamous for taunting CC. If CC weren't already a national figure, Reese's immature actions would have been a footnote to SOP in the SEC.

Anybody who thinks it's the other way around probably thinks Greenland is the 51st state.

And if you read the detailed account of Iowa's travels to Minneapolis, you should appreciate that they all arrived in Minneapolis safe and sound. Aborting a flight halfway down an icy runway . . .

I've done a lot of flying, and I've been in several de-icing incidents and weather delays. As you know, or can imagine, there's nothing good about any of it. I just hope the Hawkeyes can take out their frustrations on the Gophers tonight. And I think they will.

I got Minny on the moneyline at +145 early today. Now they’re -105. Seems harsh for just travel delays. These are young kids. They can handle crap like that

I am as far away from Iowa City right now as I have ever been.

@Franisdaman do you have any links?

And fwiw, ignore those poopy-pants posters. I appreciate the collection of info and commentary 👍.

We are in Jamaica and Hulu is convinced we are stealing the broadcast, locking us out. The M.F.rs charge rediculous prices and do this sh*t. Beyond p*ssed
