Fresh Ohio St legs against the Hawks playing its third game in 3 days. I think the buckeyes will just have a little more juice.

84-68 Ohio St

Fresh legs certainly could make a difference. Mental fatigue could play a role also although with this team it seems when one is down someone else picks up the slack

Help me out fam. Say a fella wanted to go to tonight's game. A session five ticket would get him into both our game and UCLA vs the morons, correct?

I believe you picked Michigan State too. Gotta give it to ya for consistency. But I'm afraid you're wrong again. Check the minutes played last night and you'll see Iowa's 10-deep roster is just fine . . . at least fine enough to knock off THE Ohio State.

BTW: Iowa's worst loss of the season was by 10 points about 3 months ago. Everything else? OT, OT, 1-point, 2-points, 3 points . . . Just for the record. (And that includes the 2-point "loss" to UCLA.)

Have to mention a couple of brilliant insights gleaned from last night's telecast:

1 - During the game they showed a graphic with Iowa a 7 seed in the NCAA. LOL

2 - Postgame, one of the brilliant talking heads said they thought Iowa was better than an 11 seed in the BTT. LOL again.

Thank gawd we have people getting paid to make such asinine observations. They might fit in well in DC about now.

Any early line on tonight’s point spread.

I always go with my gut, and in this case, I hope it's wrong.

There is a reason in the NCAA tourney they don't play back-to-back days. It's hard! Not to mention 3 or straight. Luckily due to foul trouble a few of our starters played a bit less last night.

This is where our bench and playing everyone early on will hopefully help us from a legs perspective. Last year we didn’t play very deep into our bench and would have been in trouble playing Wednesday in the BTT.

Hoping for a dub, but also understanding this is a very tough game. If we get refs like last night that let players rough house, we're going to have a lot of trouble in the paint. Really need the 3s to be falling tonight.

And in their only double digit loss they turned the ball over 30 times (felt like 50). So if they had managed to only commit an atrocious amount, say 23, it's likely a one possession game either way as well.

Yes, they’d always fit in DC

That 1st game did not test the players legs. 20 minutes for most players. Last night Lucy and Hannah had significant breaks. For Post players, with 3 primary post players I am not too worried. Kylie/McCabe and Syd played quite a bit last night. As our 3 point shooters maybe a be a little concerned but I think in this case I will take the momentum and cohesiveness. Overall, this will come down to defense, and how many points we can manufacture.

Gotta put Kylie on McMahon and deny her the ball.

I believe they did that last time and until late it worked, at which time I believe they switched her to Cambridge. I’ve actually been thinking about this very thing. I’m not sure she won’t start her out on Cambridge this time… She roasted us early and quite frankly I realize Cotie is a handful but she does miss some free throws and she’s only “chance” & a game away from having the fouls against her. She’s had lots of games where she finished with four fouls….

Maybe we get lucky and she gets a referee crew that doesn’t let her run us over in the lane🤷‍♂️

Stop Cambridge.
McMahon is going to do what she does, but you have to stop the others, and try to get her and Thiery in some foul trouble.

Could really use a good shooting night for the team. Gonna need 8+ 3s to stay on top.

I don’t think we will shoot that poorly from 3 again, 6-24, I’m also not terribly worried about fatigue at this juncture, next game, maybe 🤷‍♂️
