Iowa is 6-9 SU since the start of the B1G Divisions (2011). I wanted to go back and look at this given yesterdays result. Interestingly, Iowa faced 4 straight teams in 2014 that came off a bye, and it came after we started 5-1, and no doubt we go 2-2 in those games [one of which we were also off a bye].
Also, the average win total in that time frame of B1G opponents was 8 for those coming off the bye, and only 6.5 for those with a week to prepare. I sure would like to know who we pissed prior to 2013 to get 4 straight B1G opponents coming off a bye, I really doubt any other team has faced that, and going into this deep dive, i would have though 2 teams back-to-back in such fashin would be unfair.
The next team we face coming off a bye will be Illinois, just ahead of Nebraska and just after Minnesota which could be another emotional game. I don't think we'll lose to Illinois, but at this time I'm not sure we will cover that spread which suggests -20ish.
