Iowa Women’s Basketball Recruiting Weekend

There were a handful of women's basketball recruiting targets in attendance at Kinnick Stadium for unofficial visits over the weekend.



Class of 23' Guard Katy Eidle out of John Hershey High School in Arlington Heights, IL.
Visits to Nebraska, Iowa x2, Marquette, Michigan, Illinois and Minnesota
Offers from Penn State, Columbia, Alabama, Iowa, Nebraska, Princeton, Dayton, Oklahoma, Maryland, Wisconsin, Boston College, Clemson, Arizona State, Northwestern, Davidson, Minnesota, Michigan State, Providence, Marquette, Milwaukee, UMKC, St Louis, DePaul, Illinois, Michigan and Illinois State.



Class of 25' Ava Zediker out of Dowling Catholic in Des Moines, IA.
Unofficial at Iowa this weekend and also attended the Iowa Elite Camp in June.
Offer from Drake.



Class of 26' Maddyn Greenway out of St Paul, MN and daughter of former Iowa Linebacker Chad Greenway.
Attended the Iowa Elite Camp in June and a Minnesota camp in August.
Unofficial visit to Minnesota on Thursday vs Ohio State and Iowa on Saturday.



Class of 24' Callie Levin out of Solon High School in Solon, IA. Committed to play at Iowa.



Class of 23’ Sahara Williams out of Waterloo West.
Unofficial visit to Iowa last weekend.
Offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Drake, Omaha, Washington State and USC.

I think some of this is kind of crazy. I don't know if all these girls have offers, but to have girls in that haven't started high school is weird. I guess you have to start early tho. Just doesn't seem right.

I'm sure alot of them if not all were there for the football game, so why not come early and hang out with the basketball team. It was their dime let them spend it how they want. And yes it is crazy, but the other schools are doing it, so you don't want to be left behind, many times that first offer is what counts.

those girls were Hawkeye great Chad Greenways daughter’s....the older one is turning heads I guess for her age..... he probably wanted to go to the game.... what’s wrong with his daughter’s getting to hang out with the team and recruits?

The youngest, Greenway, dominated at the varsity level last year. So I think her recruitment is plenty appropriate.
