The Caitlin Clark mystique continues. Iowa has announced a sellout for women's basketball again this season. Clearly, such a thing never would have happened without Clark bringing people to the Hawkeye women's game in the first place. So CC may be gone, but she clearly has not been forgotten. She has left a legacy in Iowa City that, given appropriate stewardship, should keep Iowa in the upper echelon of women's basketball for a long, long time.
Clark has put women's basketball on the map, at both the college and pro levels, in ways that were unimaginable until she came along.
And now that Clark's team is out of the WNBA playoffs, I can ignore that league until Clark takes the floor again next spring. But I am looking forward to another exciting women's basketball season in Iowa City, something I never said before Caitlin Clark showed up.
