Iowa's schedule...little travel

I was looking at the schedule and it just dawned on me that other than the weird Montana visit before National Duals, Iowa's furthest meets are in Madison and Lincoln. A lot of wrestling in Iowa and Illinois.

Is that a good thing? A bad thing? Does it really not matter at all?

Pretty soft dual schedule with no PSU, Ohio St, Michigan, Minnesota etc. Interesting that Maryland is attending the Iowa City Duals.

Nah Chief, I meant WITH Minnie on the schedule it makes it softer. Nah, but they are going to be pretty bad this year after losing the Dardanes, Schiller, Storley and D Ness.

They should absolutely travel more; when they went to Rutgers it caused a huge buzz around the state and drew their biggest crowd of all time. We need anything that creates excitement in new areas.

Speaking of Rutgers - We are trying to get at least 50 kids to their home dual with Maryland. Once again we're getting great help from RYou.

I imagine if Rutgers were say...................... in Missouri, the Iowa dual numbers would have probably been a BIT higher as well. Just saying.

I must point out what a great job both teams did at last year's Rutgers/Iowa dual with the kids we were able to send. They had excellent seats and were able to spend time with athletes and coaches from both teams.
