Some apparently don't realize that the ISU colossal upset of Oklahoma, plus the
MICH STATE win at Michigan, really makes IOWA's 4-2 record look pretty good.

The Sagarin Computer, this week, has IOWA as the #29 best team in America.
They rank our SOS as #34 overall.

Another kind of neat little fact.......both Nebraska and Northwestern are ranked
BELOW the Iowa State Cyclones in the Sagarin rankings.

GO HAWKS !!! :)

I think there was a thread saying that we would definitely have been ranked in the old BCS formula or something.

Except for 5 seconds, vs Penn State, we might be in the Top 15, right now.

GO HAWKS :)

To this point... 5 seconds away from 6 and 0. Convinced the Hawks beat MSU if they feel good about the PSU outcome. Anyone not acknowledging that the Hawks were impacted by the PSU loss have never experienced life. We all have ups and downs.. days and weeks we work hard, work less hard.

This is a good, unlucky team.

How many spots is Michigan ahead of Michigan St. Polls suck, just keep winning
Polls measure how good people think the teams are. If you want to base everything off of results only, look at the standings. Hint: sometimes the better team loses.

4-2 is halfway to 8-4 which isn't bad for a young team. I'm not terrible confident we can go 4-2 in the second half the way we've been playing. Need to make some major strides.

Is that how PSU beat us?

Anything from 2-4 to 5-1 is possible. It wouldn't be a huge shock if Iowa was able to beat Northwestern, Purdue, Minnesota and Nebraska. Iowa will be favored against Purdue and Minnesota, and possibly against Northwestern and Nebraska as well. No more teams left who are as bad as Illinois.

And 5-1 wouldn't guarantee the West. Looked at the WI schedule, very doable for them..

5 dimes has Nebraska as a 1 point favorite over Iowa.

Also has us as a 17.5 pt dog against OSU.

Agreed. Wisconsin would have to lose to Michigan as well. Not likely. It's hard to tell exactly how good Wisconsin is right now. They've obliterated everyone on the schedule. Is Northwestern any good? Nebraska doesn't appear to be good. But Wisconsin has done what good teams do to poor teams, it has crushed them.

Funny, it doesn't seem that way to me :(
You kidding me.. how many wide open receivers did we miss down field!! They scored would have been 28-10 in the 3rd if one of those would have connected.. then Iowa allows to deep passes to be completed against them.. don't focus on the end when in the middle Iowa was very unlucky
