I was going to post the news. Here is the CNN link. The timetable is what I predicted months ago. The religious hardliners detain Westerners and stage show trials, then the pragmatists eventually get them freed just before a big event like a sanctions date. Iran has deep divisions inside its government.

It will be interesting hearing the republican response to the Iranian hostages being released. Heard over and over again how bad Obama was for not getting them released as part of the nuke deal. Maybe Obama and Kerry knew what they were doing after all.
I'm guessing they'll say the Iranians that we traded for were some of the worst and scariest terrorists on the planet and shouldn't have been released. Obama is horrible because he is giving Iran everything they want.

A Republican would have gotten them back sooner, and carpet bombed the cafes of Tehran flat.
And now the sanctions are being lifted. I should probably turn on FOX to see why this is another disaster, but I'm settled in for a calm evening.
