Who would have thought? In the middle of a pandemic coming from a country that wants Death to Us.
Two days ago Flo said Iran was bringing all their top guys including Yazdani.
Maybe they have a backup plan in place so Trinidad and Tobago has their guys ready to roll just in case............

At this point, if it’s true, I’m wondering why it’s not bigger news. Nothing from FLO, Willie, IAWRESTLE, etc….nothing that I’ve seen anyways.
I believe it. I’m now more curious why the wrestling powerhouse media guys weren’t all over this. Seems like kind of a big deal to me 🤷🏻♂️
Maybe they are holding off because we are still working to get them visas at the last minute. All I know is the president of their federation e-mailed outta stating they have to cancel because the didn’t receive 5 visas. Two of which were for wrestlers.
Easy solution. Have them fly to Mexico and they can just walk across the border. Who needs a f&cking visa.
You have no idea how dumb that statement is. The meet happens to be on the same day as regionals. I expect the number to hit at least 15,000. Don't forget how down OSU is too. Many of their fans don't want to travel to see a slaughter.
My point was only that it isn't Iowa, or Ohio, or Pennsylvania, or Oklahoma for that matter. Had the event been in any of those venues, the problem wouldn't have been whether they got 20K, it would be finding a place to have it that would allow for more than that.

Willie! Glad you chimed in. Any word on potential replacement or what the current plan is? Anything set in stone yet?
The 2000 Olympic Trials were in Dallas and broke the attendance record easily. There are lots of wrestling fans within a 4 hour distance here. It will be a much bigger crowd than what Iba Gallagher would ever draw and it is a home meet for OSU.
I run across many Iowa fans in the wrestling community. Many are waiting to see how things pan out with regionals and weather. I will be there but haven't bought ticket yet.
Wonder if they will just bring in additional USA wrestlers and we will basically just see wrestle offs at some weights.
IDC, I'm really only there to watch the Hawks crush Okie State.

I am a Hawk fan off an Iowa farm near DBQ but been living in DFW for quite some time now.
They also are likely to be without their best car too, a Ferrari.
5th in Tourney. 6 th in duals. If Ferrari’s points are taken out of the tourney rank they’re at 15 ish

there will be more than that. The DFW Iowa Club has a pre and post match party at Texas Live. There are some Iowa fans driving up from Houston. Me included. Look for shirts/sweatshirts with Texas Hawkeyes
