Is anyone worried about this game?

More wary than worried. Any BIG10 team is a threat. Minnesota will give us everything they have. I expect the Hawkeyes to prevail but I don't expect it to be easy. I'm thinking something like 31-20 Hawks late.

I think it will be a close game, I mean MINNY played both Michigan & OSU tough the past 2 weeks. Their offense is pretty good and their defense has shown glimpses of greatness. Iowa can't afford to over-look them and Purdue. All it takes is one bad day at the office and then the pressure flips back onto Iowa.

I think it will be tight maybe a 31-21 type game.

Yes I have concerns. I think we will win, but the Gophers have a tough defense that will make it tough for us. Their offense isn't near what it was last year but they will not lie down. This is a big game that we need to win.

Who the f#@! worries about a football game? Of course there is a chance Minnesota wins, but I'm not sitting in my living room rocking back and forth with worry.

GO HAWKS!

Minny has been playing better lately and has a better defense that people give them credit for.

Floyd is on the line, and they really do HATE us, of course, people chuckling about that are idiots. Minny should be gassed tho after the last 2 games and now another tough night/road game.

With the amount of support Iowa is going to get this weekend with the wrestling match, night game, tons of fans in town, I think the team will be too amped to shit the bed on this one.

Major worry is that somebody trips when the players go over arm-in-arm to get Floyd

Normally I worry about every game....but now I'm worried because I'm not worried about Minnesota.

Worry? About a football game? Nope.
I'm cautiously optimistic. Enjoying the ride thus far. And acknowledging that the train could derail on either of the next 2 Saturdays, or last Friday of the month.

This is one of our biggest rivalries and will be a very physical game. Similar physicality to Wisconsin and Pitt. I think Minnesota's offense is there liability but it will be no walk in the park. I think last years game is motivation for the hawks, but yes I am certainly worried. Probably worried because I HATE MINNESOTA and dont want to deal with a great season blemished by a gopher wart

I worry about every single one.

This. I've been a Hawk fan for 50 years and the only times I am not worried are when then season is already a big bust and the game doesn't matter.

And to the dix who say "it's just football" everything is relative. I "worry" at the level appropriate for a game; which has no relation to worry over real-world thins.

You know what everyone is saying, so why go it of your way to be jerks?

I'm a little worried that the Hawks will get too ampted up for the night game, black out jerseys, etc.

But I have full confidence that this group prepares well, stays focused on the next game and will be ready to roll. CJ showed me something this week that gives me more confidence in the offense ... Go Hawks!

Minnesota should be the ones worrying. I bet this one has been a sore spot since last year! This Iowa team will take care of business and remind the Goofers what it feels like.

If this team is as good as their rankings, the remaining schedule does not make me nervous (if fans have a reason to get nervous or worried in the first place)

The players still have to play the game, and slip ups and upsets have them....but Iowa should be able to handle everybody left on the schedule.

Prepare for the 24-21 clash that you know this is going to be.

Minnesota down by three, 4 minutes to go at their own 38.

Do you have the energy left to rain noise down upon them as they mount their final drive?

It's on you Hawk fan.

Make sure you get plenty of rest and fluids after the wrestling meet ;)

Absolutely....Iowa needs to bottle up the jet action that Minnesota will try with KJ Maye and not let their tight ends hurt us. We also need to win the turnover battle.

Our run defense needs to be better this week. If we can come out and shut their run game down the first few drives and get up 10 or 14 points and force them to throw more we should win 31-17.

I think Iowa is set to roll them over...and Purdue...

Worry...Each day has enough worry of its own...without football...

The emotion of losing coach Kill is running thin and reality sets in. The fact fact is, Minnesota is just not a good team this year. Sure they gave Michigan and OSU a good game, but that tank is on empty. No way they hang with the Hawks for 60 minutes. The Hawks will be playing with emotion of their own. Playing at home, at night, sellout crowd, the pig, revenge, new unis, grapple on the gridiron, healthy Canzeri, and "New Kirk", the gophers are going to get rolled on epic proportions! What we do to them will be compared to what OSU did to them but on a greater scale. I predict that the Hawks hang a goose egg on them. Only how many points the Hawks put up is the question. Anywhere from 48 to 63 is my guess. This game will serve notice to the naysayers and the media pundits. This is the game we've had circled since last year. Hawks will roll!
