The good Congressman ranted and raved yesterday about how after 9/11 Congress did not ban airplanes. That is true Congressman…. But Congress sure as hell made it much more difficult to board an airplane! I think raising the age to buy a military type weapon is more than generous. It is the bare minimum Congress should do. Increasing “waiting periods” for these types of weapons is certainly a reasonable idea to ponder, too.

They sure did make it harder to get on. And in reality, there is only ONE thing they have done that could have prevented 9/11 from happening. And it ain't TSA, or sporks.

The fact of the matter is Titan that 9/11 DID happen. Congress changed some rules. To date, their have been no repeats of the events of 9/11. Maybe if we made it harder to purchase military automatic type weapons, some of these mass shootings might be avoided. There are no guarantees in this life but not making changes and expecting different outcomes is a symptom of mental illness.
