Is it possible that the O is playing possum?

Here is why I think that **maybe** we might be holding back on offense a little bit. Except for the putrid final drive last week, it seems like when we needed a score today and a week ago we put together some drives that were fairly impressive and resulted in TDs. For example the 99 yard drive before half this week. I know ISU is awful but we did score 42 points on them and didn't look like the keystone cops we have seen have otherwise seen in the last two weeks.

It is just curious that they can look so discombobulated with so many seniors. I am hoping that they are saving all of our offensive wrinkles for the Wisconsin game.

Or else its just GDGD reverting back to 2012 form.

If a team is willing to "play possum" and lose to an FCS team and barely sneak by Rutgers, we've got bigger problems than talent in Iowa City. Not trying to get after you, but this is a ridiculous mindset.

That said, no... this team is not playing possum. They're just either not as good as we all believed them to be or the season is going to be a work in progress and get better as they go on... or they'll tank. Let's just eliminate that possibility with a nice win next week.

would be nice if they were but they are just that bad. CJB won't make it thru the season at this pace. The o line is struggling against poor defenses. Our WR can't get open. Run game has been good at times but very predictable. Lotsa work to do. They better improve or will get run over by Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nebby.

Yeah, I heard that our OL and DL purposely let themselves get pushed around like a bunch of women in the 4Q vs NDSU. And then the offense tried to play like absolute sh*t for the entire game vs Rutgers, getting outgained for the game despite Rutgers (largely predicted to go 0-9 in B1G) not having their only playmaker for the 2nd half. This was for the purpose of giving Neb and Wisky a false sense of security, which will make them think they have a chance to beat us in addition to LSU, Oregon and Michigan St. Looked pretty convincing, didn't it?

What concerns me most is the receivers having an inability to get open. Tevaun covered up some of that last year making some of the catches he did, but with only Vandeberg to throw to, teams will just double up on him and make J. Smith or Scheel do something. They've failed thus far.
