There will be NO GOD in schools, except for the great Allah? This is pathetic and if we don't wake up soon, this country really will be gone. What's even worse is they say kids can "Opt out" of singing. Great, so either sing or you're not a full member of the chorus.

This is sickening, really.

Parents in one Minnesota school district are in an uproar after learning that an upcoming holiday concert would feature a song that includes the words 'Allahu Akbar' - a traditional Muslim saying meaning 'God is great'.

The scandal surrounding the Blaine choir director’s song choice erupted sometime last week after the parents of a ninth-grade choir member posted on Facebook the lyrics to 'Eid un Sa'Eid,' reported the station WCCO.

Several commenters reacted with indignation to the inclusion of the Ramadan-inspired song in the singing group’s repertoire.

One user reportedly wrote: 'No child should be forced to sing a song about the Muslims and the religion of hatred.'

‘Songs are not performed in a worship setting or to promote religion,’ the statement read, ‘but rather in [an] educational setting where students are learning and performing music.’

However, district officials noted that any student who does not wish to perform ‘Eid un Sa’Eid’ could opt out without being penalized.

Minnesota is in a bad spot. At some point, flying out of MSP is going to take some serious consideration unless they are able to get their terrorism problem under control.

Eid al-Fitr is not associated with the "holiday season" like Christmas and Hanukkah because of the Muslim calendar. In 2000, Eid was in December. This year it was in July. Inserting it into a "holiday concert" was a highly ignorant thing to do.

STFU, dude. This same choir sings Christmas songs. If they can celebrate Christianity, why can't they celebrate Islam? And for the record, I don't think they should be celebrating either.

God, you're dumb.

Are all non-Christian's not taking the 25th off? Or are they taking the paid holiday regardless of their non-belief if Jesus Christ?

You realize that Christianity isn't the only religion that does their major celebration this time of year, right?

I'm sorry what is the day called here in America again? I know in the UK it is boxing day. But that is in the UK.

I wonder if parents are really in an uproar over a song... Probably just a vocal handful. Sing religious themed songs or don't, who cares.

I'm taking the 24th and 25th off because they are firm holidays, if they weren't, I'd work. What's your point?
You must have a lot of willpower to stay firm over these holidays. I plan to eat bacon in honor of our lord. Really thick bacon too, just like Jesus liked it. What? You don't think Jesus ate bacon? Then how the hades can he be perfect and lead you to salvation? If there can only be one god, he will be a bacon eating god.

Why do you acknowledge this as a holiday? Solely because your firm does or because you are of the christian faith?

Because my firm does... I thought I made that clear by saying I'd otherwise be working. Just like I don't work December 31st or January 1st, or next year July 1st or September 2nd, I don't acknowledge these as special days but my employer says go ahead and take them off.

They'll just be called racists and Islamaphobes.

Christian songs in a Christian country shouldn't be a problem. The problem is the lack of understanding by the insecures that raise a stink about the Christian songs.

So your beliefs are not strong, got it.

Regarding the other holiday's you mention - those are not holiday's based upon a religious belief.

It is only a Christian country to Christians.

And Christian songs are trash.

Right, that's what I was trying to equivocate, that I'll gladly enjoy these holidays despite not being religious. I'll still happily wish people Merry Christmas despite not being religious and have dinner with my immediate family, is that the path you were getting at?

Yep, now you're getting the lesson on why football teams can't pray before a game. This Islam brouhaha is almost a Christmas miracle in the way it brings people around to my point of view.
