To think many on here wanted(you might as well say want because they have come out after losses this season) to get rid of the guy who has brought us back to national relevance. Wonder where they are all at today?

I am one that gets upset with Fran with some substitution patterns and lack of TO's during games but man what he has done at Iowa over his tenure is nothing short of a miracle thinking back to where we were at after Lickliter.

Thank you Fran. You have a chance to go down as one of Iowa's best coaches ever with a magical March run.

First time ranked in the Top 5 in March since 1956.. Yeah I'd say best season since 86-87.

I think you have to take the good with the bad with Fran. The bottom line is Fran gets the most out of the talent he does reel in. That's not to say Fran doesn't get talent, but the rotation isn't exactly littered with Top 50 recruits. I still wouldn't trade Keegan Murray for any freshman in the conference.

Last, Iowa finished the regular season strong because their defense improved leaps and bounds. That is the only reason they finished third in the toughest conference in basketball. I'm going to give Fran credit for that. My biggest knock on Fran has always been that he never withholds playing time from guys who aren't committed to the defensive end. Something has changed. And I'm going to give Fran his due.

I think you need to just wait for 2022. Fran has a good shot to land some higher profile guys.

In the conference? I wouldn't trade him or his brother for any freshman in the country.
They're one of us and we don't get a lot of them, much less twinning.

I will forever be thankful for Fran resurrecting the program. We were in such a bad place after Lickliter that I wasn’t all that hopeful and Fran turned things around pretty quickly. You could say he caught lightning in a bottle with Garza which is somewhat true but even if Garza only ended up being an above-average player we would have still had a pretty good team. At this point Fran has a pretty good track record of finding under the radar guys like Aaron White and building solid teams.

Likewise next year after Garza leaves obviously it’s too much to expect that we will be top 5 again but I think we will be competitive and it’s exciting to think about the potential once all of our current underclassmen have more experience.

Not sure what you're talking about, nobody wants to get rid of Luka😆. Joking aside, of course Fran deserves credit there, the young guys have lots of fans excited for the future. I'm hoping fran can use the exposure of this season to take the next step and make sweet 16's a somewhat regular thing. The big man situation next year is reason for concern

Fran goes for the big fish such as Suggs and Tyler Ullis. Soon he will land some.

I love Fran’s passion. He’s our guy!
