More important, the radicalization of the Republican party in the last 3 decades has intensified the racial hatred and its political weaponry. The Orange Turd pushed it to the brink, compelling his congressional zealots to justify sabotaging the 2020 elections, and attempts to overturn the certified results.

That was not forgotten. Some of the old Southern Democrats stuck around as Dems. The Civil Rights Act made strange political bed fellows and allegiances.

with American voters. Franklin D. Roosevelt had a charisma
which attracted a large following as he focused on his agenda.
John F. Kennedy had charisma which made him a popular
President. Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump were both
Populists who got elected President.
Trump had a personality problem because he was an egotist.
He never had the self-discipline to rein in his foolish pride.

I'm not sure what your point is. About what, 20% or so isn't old enough to vote currently, followed by another 30% or so of eligible voters stayed home. 66% of eligible voters turned out in 2020 - a record number in US history.
Romney is absolutely in the minority of the party. But he's the truest and most principled and least beholden to anyone in either party.

Both political parties are tribal. This isn't even debatable. However, with the advent of Trumpism, the GOP have taken tribalism to a whole other level.
