There's no way anyone is actually doing that.
Somebody just figured out that it could theoretically be done, and decided to write it up as a troll job/smart guy.
It makes no sense. I guess he'll never need money after hours? Never buys anything online? Pays his bills in person with cash?
Idiotic.
He left banks because he kept overdrafting on his debit/checking. So, just cut up your debit card and you'll have exactly the same amount of debit cards and temptation to overdraft as he has with Gamestop.
Which doesn't even get into the idea that you would trust Gamestop and those dimit employees with any amount of your money greater than the amount you'd be comfortable keeping laying on your bedside table.
He'd be better hiding it in his house.
