Is this really the America that we want? Detaining and deporting people here with legal status?

I don’t really care what the opinions of the MIB are. I’m just curious how far others think this is going to go? At some point, you have to assume it will affect someone you care about.

It’s the chainsaw technique he’s using everywhere. It’s what unserious people do.

Also, what is MIB? I missed the memo.

You have “legal” and “illegal”. It is pretty simple. Now while I don’t agree with sending people to El Salvadoran prisons, something should be done, whether deport or have some path to legal status, I don’t know for the “illegals”. If here legally, end of story….

Rebecca Burke, 28, a Welsh artist, was detained on February 26 after she “set off on the trip of a lifetime across North America,” according to a GoFundMe page. She was reunited with her family this month after spending 19 days in a processing center after being denied entry at the border between the U.S. and Canada.

Burke had been residing with host families, with whom she helped out with chores in exchange for her stay. As she attempted to enter Canada, authorities believed that she may need a work visa, and she was told that she had to go back to the U.S.

"She was refused re-entry and classified as an 'illegal alien,'" her father wrote. "Despite being a tourist with no criminal record, she was handcuffed and taken to a detention facility in Tacoma, Washington."

Her father said she had been led on to the plane in chains “like Hannibal Lecter.”

“close connections to a known or suspected terrorist, who is a senior advisor to Hamas.”

Unnamed scientist wasn't allowed in....

Lady who went to visit the funeral of the leader of hezbollah.

Lady who spent 30 months in federal for weed, was told by her lawyer deportation was a possibility.

Zero work visa or status.

Yes, I'm ok with Khalil(?) Being deported and at some point I want to know how a 30 year old was in campus housing post graduating.

All on Green card or less status.

Use your brain.

What other country do you think would allow this?

I fully support the enforcement of all laws on the book.
Cool. I’ll look for your post about charging Hegseth, Vance, et al over revealing secret operational military plans to a journalist over a public chat app. I’ll look for you to call for charging Trump for his refusal to return classified documents he shouldn’t have had.

Oh…wait…crimes committed by them are perfectly ok in your eyes.

Why is this funny, @abby97 ??

The funny thing is I am not even in a teacher’s union, but if I were I don’t feel it’s something akin to a scarlet letter.

He is just weird.
I tried to explain to him about the teachers' unions. As soon as our union's power got stripped I got out of it. He's just bought into the whole grooming of kids BS that gets fed to him. It's beyond ridiculous.

The answer is simple: if they have legal status they stay, if they don’t then risk deportation.

I don’t agree with deporting non documented people so maybe it not as simple as I think.
