As some of you may have deduced from my occasional posts here, I have an interest in politics and lean slightly to the conservative side of the spectrum.

I realized tonight I have absolutely no desire to watch the latest installment of the Republican merry-go-round. It's not that I don't care about who the party chooses to run against Hillary (assuming she's either out of jail or is allowed to campaign from her cell). I'm just burned out hearing all the same old stuff from all the same old candidates -- and especially tired of hearing the analysis.

Mrs. LC is a real political junkie, and definitely will submerge herself in it. But I'm going to let her have living room TV and I'll sit here in the office, probably watch the "Fargo" episode I recorded last night and maybe a couple of "Blue Bloods" episodes.

Does this mean America is bored with politics?

Fairly significant tonite given Americans want to hear everyone's stance on terrorism, etc. I think it will be highly viewed.

You like Branstad.

There's no explanation for you.

I think it means that LC is a real conservative and the clown car debates are wearing on him. The clown car comes on stage and they just keep rolling out. One after the other, with very rarely a serious thought or comment among them.
In the middle of all this is the carnival barker himself, Donald Trump. You see the malcontents and crazies invading the Republican Party. You see the code words for the loonies starting to be used. Sometimes I feel sorry for you true conservatives. I can see why LC is disheartened tonight.

I'm an avowed Branstadist. I'm as anti-fvcking Branstad as anyone, and damn proud of it. To me, anyone pro-Branstad should be treated like 'instructors who aren't ready to teach their classes.'

I don't think Branstad does much of anything but I'm always curious why the left has so much hatred for the doof. What gives?

It means that Mrs. LC would enjoy an evening with me.

Don't sell yourself short, LC. You're a full-on bull goose loony conservative.

Funny thing is, I avoided all the previous debates because, well, I hate presidential debates no matter which party. Useless and stupid. But tonight I decided to be a good citizen and watched about the last hour of the debate. It met expectations. The good news is that I really don't need to ever watch another.

I like "Blue Bloods". I do wish I had the Fargo series. I'd love to watch it.

"Blue Bloods" is quite good, but it isn't optimal for binge watching because it is so formulaic. Same thing with "The Blacklist." In fact, the primary reason I keep watching the latter is Megan Boone. Who also was Danny's partner for a couple of episodes on "Blue Bloods."

I will finish the last two episodes of "Better Call Saul" this afternoon. It's OK, but not great. The character isn't as entertaining as he was in "Breaking Bad." But Mike is in it, and he's terrific.

I like how great-grampa Reagan is a short little guy, Francis is a big guy, and then Danny is a short guy, but his sister has some height. Doesn't really seem to fit as a family. But that's being nit-picky.

Look how much taller Erin is than Nicky. Odd, especially considering Erin's ex is tall. Jaime is a whiny little dick.....wouldn't be shocked if he eventually gives up the family business and becomes a priest.
