People I support work with over 24,000 kids in Florida a year, and we don't even get involved in all the abuse reports that Dept. of Children and Families gets. Just those with physical or sexual aspects.

I get where you're coming from, but I don't think intelligence is tied to whether someone is religious or not. Intelligence is about how we process information, solve problems, and think critically. Plenty of brilliant minds throughout history have been religious, and plenty haven't. It’s not about whether someone believes in something higher or not—it’s about how they apply their reasoning and experience in life. Plus, religion gives a lot of people purpose and values, which can shape smart decisions too. So, it’s more complicated than just saying I'd be smarter without it.
