Israel vs Hezbollah

On 11 August 2006, the United Nations Security Council unanimously approved United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 (UNSCR 1701) in an effort to end the hostilities. The resolution, which was approved by both the Lebanese and Israeli governments the following days, called for disarmament of Hezbollah, for withdrawal of the IDF from Lebanon, and for the deployment of the Lebanese Armed Forces and an enlarged United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in the south. UNIFIL was given an expanded mandate, including the ability to use force to ensure that their area of operations was not used for hostile activities, and to resist attempts by force to prevent them from discharging their duties.[58]The Lebanese Army began deploying in Southern Lebanon on 17 August 2006. The blockade was lifted on 8 September 2006.[59] On 1 October 2006, most Israeli troops withdrew from Lebanon, although the last of the troops continued to occupy the border-straddling village of Ghajar.[60]In the time since the enactment of UNSCR 1701 both the Lebanese government and UNIFIL have stated that they will not disarm Hezbollah.[61][62][63]

Word is that the Biden admin won't try to restrain Bibi on this.

They apparently previously wanted Bibi to keep it limited to avoid a multi-front war. But there's so little resistance in Gaza, that's no longer a concern.

Not a good idea. Israel is going to alienate about everyone. As a Christian, I've never really bought into the Hal Lindsay type of scenario for the end of the world, but this sure would get lots of nations sore at Israel.

They don't care. We'll never leave them and that's all they need.

There's chatter that Israel may launch larger war to smash Hezbollah.

Good idea?
Wait. It’s Israel that’s gonna do this?

BEIRUT, June 19 (Reuters) - The head of Lebanon's Hezbollah said on Wednesday that nowhere in Israel would be safe if a full-fledged war breaks out between the two foes, and also threatened EU member Cyprus for the first time and other parts of the Mediterranean.
Hezbollah has been trading fire with Israel for more than eight months in parallel with the Gaza war. On Tuesday, the Iran-backed group published what it said was drone footage of sensitive military sites deep in Israeli territory.

I think that was Hezbollah's response.

A response to their response?

Hezbollah launched 100 rockets at Israel the other day, targeting civilians and destroying many homes. Why are we completely ignoring that? Why shouldn’t Israel have a complete green light to parking lot this mother fvckers?

Tension is continuing to escalate between Israel and the Lebanese group Hezbollah. On Wednesday, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah warned that his forces could strike anywhere inside Israel. Nasrallah also threatened to target Cyprus if it allows Israel to use its air bases to attack Lebanon. His warning came a day after Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz threatened to wage an “all-out war” against Hezbollah.

They will, for a while. That's how we roll.

Might not have as long a leash as usual, since Bibi keeps shitting on Biden.

What do you mean by leash? Sure, Isreal depends on the United States and seems to respect us, but they're not under our control. We've seen that clearly over the past couple months. They're going to do what they want to do.

Talks over the last 24-48 Hours between Senior Israeli and U.S. Officials, has reportedly caused “Extreme Concern” among several Members of the Biden Administration, who believed that an Israeli Campaign against Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon, likely Opening with by a Large-Scale Air Campaign over Lebanon and Southwestern Syria, is now Imminent and could begin at any point over the next Three Weeks.

Imminent has now been defined as three weeks.
Take note.

That makes it harder for him to blame the US so thus it's an unfavored position

Seriously? If you're going to offer comments like that, you shouldn't label others "idiots."
Why? They watched Hamas terrorize Israel and immediately called for a Ceasefire. It for a release of the hostages. A ceasefire. Hezbollah launched 100 rockets at them the other day. Would be right on point if they did it again.

Reagan and Roosevelt are currently both in the Philippine Sea as of this week.
The Ike just went back through the Suez into the Red Sea.
Correct. Though the Teddy is currently being moved back to ME. This has been confirmed.

Didn’t mean to be perceived as disputing, I was checking where they were at. Stuff going on with China and Phillipines right now. We have another trucking off the coast of Chile (came through Magellan Straits) right now.
Interesting to see 3 active in the Pacific and Ike shuttling between eastern Med and Red Sea.

No worries. Didn’t think you were. Just wanted to make sure I didn’t misread something.
