Michigan state is now ranked, if we win the next couple weeks we will for sure be top 25 when the committee does the voting, Which is the only thing that matters.

They'd better not dicktrip against Kansas next week, cause the next 4 after that ain't gonna be fun at all. It's also arguable there's only 2 games remaining a neutral observer would say they can/should win.

Having beat them head to head, at their place, having a better overall revord, and having our only 2 losses be against the now #3 team in the country, down to the very last play of the game, and MSU who is now ranked, and within one score, despite it being our worst game of the year, the polls are a joke, and having them ranked ahead is a joke.
ISU just beat #3 on their home field. We lost to #4 on our home field. Who cares about rankings if you are not ranked?
It matters to getting ranked. Believe it or not, things like that contribute to perception, and perception can play into a lot of things, including recruiting, etc.
Fb comes down to a few key plays, if psu hadnt scored on the last play, i think iowa probably 6-0 now and in the top 15.

You really think there is evidence that ISU has "improved" more than Iowa since the teams played? AS you said, we'll have to see rest of season. Both Iowa and ISU have opportunities for more big wins.
Why should we have beaten Penn State?

Getting votes <> being ranked. It means nothing. If you are hurt by this you need to grow some.
The funny thing about message boards is the same people shunning the polls today will be the same people referring to them when we start getting votes.

And if Wadley hadn't scored on that great play to tie the ISU game, ISU would likely be 5-0 now. Didn't happen.
No....we did lose to Penn State. If we stop them on either 4th down, like we should have regardless of how f***ing tired they were, then we win.
