ISU women hung with Baylor for 3 quarters before losing by about 15.If we get by NC State, Baylor has been beating teams by an AVERAGE of 48 points in the tournament.
Baylor is also the overall #1 seed.
Getting to the Elite 8 would be a terrific accomplishment.

Also hopefully they learn how to make effective bounce passes to the posts whether they're on the block or up top.Yeah. I hope we get the opportunity to match up against them.
The Hawks will go as far as the guard court takes them. Meghan is going to always be there. It just seems that the guard court has not performed on the road as well as they should have this year (see Purdue, MSU, Michigan, Indiana).
Playing NC ST in Greensboro will be as close as it gets to a road game. NC State is a fair bit better than these B1G teams Mentioned above.
If the guard court can knock down shots and play the kind of defense we saw vs Mizzou, we can beat just about anyone. Hopefully they will be able to knock down shots and keep the assist machine going.

Meh, usually in these types of events, they'll be able to begrudgingly rally enough people together for it to "feel" like a home game.It may be hostile, but doubtful it will be large. NC St. only drew 2800 for their 2nd round game tonight. Bigger advantage will be getting to sleep in their own bed etc.
That guy they had it the time they won it all was pretty good.Yes.
ESPN is full out on Megan Gustafson, so maybe they will put pressure on the refs to give Iowa a favorable treatmentShouldn't be a big deal, though, unless the women's officials play to the "home crowd" because it's the women's tournament and they need eyes and storylines on the game.
Now....let's see who I hook with that last paragraph.![]()
