I agree, what in the heck did this offence and coaches do during the last 2 weeks....very little as it turned out.
When the experts predict the higher seeded team to lose convincedly and they follow though with a lackluster performance as they showed today, it's time to move on to winter sports.
Second rate bowl games are for the players and well heeled financial backers that can afford to piss away extra money they have in their pockets to get away for a few days during the holidays. More power to them.
Really did last years 6 and 2 season winning the last 6 games play any better then this years 6 and 2 record winning the first 6 games and looking apathetic in the last 2 game losses, with the same quarterback?
Doesn't it make you all warm and fuzzy knowing that Spencer Petras is Kirks main man behind center for the next 2 years?
I'm done with that experiment, there has to be someone on this team that can elevate to offense to better then putrid.....

Should not be news that Petras isn't good, but this is the worst O line in a long time. Petras has maybe the worst field vision of any Iowa QB I can remember (I was at Iowa when Hayden arrived). He cannot move to avoid sacks, and only has accuracy if he has no pressure and his initial option is open, so not having a good line is an awful combination. Opposing defenses are loading up, which makes the offense inept. Since we have one of the better centers in the country, what does that tell us about the other guys on the line? I feel sorry for the guys on the defense and special teams, which are very good.

Putras is by far the worse QB not only in the Big Ten but most of all college football and those are facts.
if aaron rodgers was our qb we're undefeated and top 2 if not 1 team in the country
