I mean this respectfully, I don't know where the leadership in that party is going to come from. I "joke" that Obama still runs it but I'm not so sure anyone ever took the torch. Booker wants to be Obama 2.0 and most people see him as a clown. Shapiro is by far the most well rounded but I donr know that any dem sees him as a leader and let's face it they don't want a white guy in charge anymore.
I dont know who in that party has the ability to grab shirt collars and say "this is the plan".

I’m not a dem, I’m a never Trumper and I tend to agree the party has a vacuum at the top at the moment. Having said that I think there are a number of Dems that would be capable of winning the election in 28 against Vance or Don Jr. Shapiro is one, Beshear from Kentucky, Whitmer and Polis deserve to be heard in the next primary season.
So of course we will get more impeachments and the Dems will almost certainly nominate Newsome or Harris because they can’t help themselves. I hope I’m pleasantly surprised and it’s one of the former list.

As someone who has had the Ukrainian money laundering scheme conversation on here i do think it's important to point out it was more likely fraud than money laundering, unless you say the money became illegal when it was used for purposes other than it's owner, us, was told it would be used for.

It’s true in the Ukraine thread where I got people upset I emphasized money laundering more than the kick back portion. It’s also true you’re likely correct about fraud as well.

As an aside I actually spoke to someone in Ukraine earlier today. She told me unprompted that she was ready to leave and Ukraine was corrupt. Anecdotal? Certainly, but when I keep hearing the same things over and over I’d be a fool to not at least consider it.

Shapiro should have been the best choice this go around if they were serious about winning. Instead they backed themselves into a corner by selecting Harris for VP for DEI purposes, not because she was the best candidate.

The established democrats who refuse to recognize this common denominator are just as guilty as everyone in the other party.
