Won't make any difference. The IOWA football brand isn't going to crash overnight. It takes an AD with balls (metaphorically) to make a change. You don't wait until things fall apart, you get in front of it.

Never thought in my life I would be watching more of an Iowa State game while Iowa is playing.
Mostly watching Georgia game though.
What effect would that have? None. The only thing that would be noticed is an empty stadium...and that ain't happenin'.

I'm reminded of Fry and his revelation that one reason he came to Iowa was because the fans stayed loyal thru 2 decades of failure. But it's a double-edge sword. That same loyalty which attracted him will forever keep Iowa mediocre in the realm of MENs sports. None of the ADs have a reason to replace a coach when the U is swimming in money. The fans (like the nation's voters) have convinced themselves that being unexceptional is somehow a good thing.
I'm glad I lived to see the women's BBall team enjoy back-to-back years in the title game. But it sucks knowing the U doesn't care about the men's programs, even though they are the ones funding the women's programs.
