Good catch, I don't know why I threw W. Dubuque in there. Had Western Dubuque on the mind instead of Hempstead.

Geerts controlled the match vs Lara but did nearly give up a big move late. Won 4-2 getting revenge for the loss earlier in the year.

Thomsen over Millage 3-1 on an absolutely awful takedown call. Millage in on a leg a couple times but Thomsen defended well. He's very strong.

Thanks. Any other results?

Boom! Wait is this because you agree with me or because I'm a prick? Tough to tell.

Haha, agreeing.

From where I was on the mat I didn't see any change in positioning that warranted the TD. If they would have called it earlier maybe, but I'm not sure how he established more control

It absolutely was not a takedown... Milage was in that Delgado funk roll leg pass situation and if that ref wanted to call it 2 (which would have been wrong at any stage in the move) he should have done it about 5 seconds earlier.

Glad I'm not too far off on rules interpretation. Pretty good effort from Millage in just his 2nd appearance of the year.

New Hampton won the tournament, finishing 6.5 points ahead of FD. Ayala didn't go for FD. Sounds like he's out with an injury or illness.

Triston Licht retured to the lineup at 195 for FD and won the title. He's a good looking sophomore. That's good news for FD who will need to find some points outside of the lower weights to win state.

Bobby Thompson complained about some "questionable" calls in the Lara-Geerts match. Without seeing the video, I have no idea what he's referring to.

The only thing he could have a beef with was Lara's takedown at the end. Very well might have had at least a 2 count which would have tied the match. Otherwise, Lara did very little and Geerts took him down, later reversed him and rode him like a pony after each.

With Lee at 125, Teasdale at 133 and in all likelihood Happel or Max Murin at 141 I don't see where Teske would fit in. He is a talent but I don't see it happening.

He's a year younger than Lee and there's talk from Teasdale of 141. Might fit.
