This is why I’m starting to care less and less about college sports, even Iowa. Playing for pride and school loyalty is becoming a thing of the past. Something needs to be fixed.

I honestly don’t think the university would cover for a player intentionally sitting out the season under the guise of an injury. They’d say something vague like a player has decided to not finish out the season or decided to leave the program, etc

Exactly. I tried saying this same thing during the Keagan Johnson saga. There is no way the team and medical staff would lie for a player.
