Tough few days for celebrities. I saw a thread on Richard Simmons, but Doherty succumbed to cancer over the weekend. Sikking lived to the ripe old age of 90, and Gregory died of heat stroke. S*** way to go. He died with his service dog in the Phoenix area. Gregory was the child actor who starred in ALF.
I loved Sikking in Hill Street Blues, and had a long, highly successful career.

Yes, Lieutenant Howard Hunter. You had to like him. Great show.

Benji Gregory was only 46.

Sad story. Apparently he had a sleeping disorder and fell asleep in his car, during the day, in Arizona, in June. His poor dog was trapped in the car with him and died as well.

I was reading in one of the obituaries for Sikking that Hill Street Blues was set in an unnamed city. I always thought it was Chicago? Or, implied to be Chicago.

Damn, Benji Gregory. When we were kids we used to shout the names in the ALF credits before they appeared. It’s weird how often I think about ALF. just this AM, I encountered a loudly discontent east-coast couple (I’m on vacation) and I thought to myself ‘they remind me of the Ochmoneks (Alf’s grumpy neighbors). RIP Benji.

I thought it was Chicago. If I remember correctly the show creator and writer , Steve Bocho, was from Pittsburgh and I think he based partly on Pittsburgh.
