Can't believe Ingram isn't on that list. For somebody who is projected to go Top 2 in next year's draft, I can't believe he wouldn't be one of the top 15 players in the nation right now.

Not a lot of Senior love. I'm surprised Kris Dunn isn't on second team in place of Murray and Ferrell isn't on first team in place of Ulis. They both put up very similar numbers and usually a tie goes to the upper classmen.

Ulis is only 31% from 3pt line this year....I agree, Ferrell deserved 1st team. I still think Uthoff is talented/skilled enough to deserve 1st team, but his slump/Iowa slump took him out of the running. Of course if he puts the Iowa team on his back and they make a run....chance for epic finish for them.

I'd like to see those three teams play against each other. First team is obviously a really good team, but I don't think they run away with it. That third team is pretty long.

I'd like to see a Comparison between Jarrod Uthoff's numbers and the 2 Forwards, that are on the First team.

I'd take Jarrod:D Oh and where is the greatest player ever, Marshall Paige?

Oh and where is the greatest player ever, Marshall Paige?

Not familiar with them so had to do a Google search. You must mean Paige Marshall?

Do you mean Marcus Paige? If so he must be playing injured as I have never heard of a player who took such a nose dive as he has this year. Hate to see that for any player but especially an Iowa native. From North Carolina's box score I don't think he is even their point guard anymore but their point guard was doing fine in his place the last tie I looked though I don't follow NC much.

Another thing I noticed in the three teams, not a single center.

Not sure how they came to that conclusion.

Yogi is a significantly better player IMO.

Much more explosive and athletic, better shot creator by far as well as defender, just a much better player on both ends.

Ulis looks to pass more because he simply can't physically do the things Yogi can athletically.

Don't worry your pretty little heads, Marcus Paige is doing fine.
Though not running the point, he's the floor (and minutes and assists) leader of a team that gets double-digit scoring from all starters and is the prohibitive favorite for a final four run.

Poeltle from Utah is a Center. I guess you could argue power forward too.

I agree with Ferrell should be on the first team and Ulis on the second team.

Nice for Jarrod! North Carolina hangs individual banners in the rafters for their All-Americans...do we? If not, should we?

Or Marcus Paige, or Wes Washpun or Monte Morris... all of whom considered Iowa.
I would have loved to see any of he three you mentioned. I really like Washpun's athletic prowess on the court. In fact, he is the most athletic (43"-46" vertical leap and understands how to attack the rim) of the three. I would say that Monte is the most consistent of the three. All three would be a significant improvement over what the team has now.

Freaking Tyler Ulis.
Every time I see Kentucky highlights on Sportscenter I actually say those exact words out loud. Fran spends 2 years recruiting this kid, did everything but commit and then Kentucky calls in the eleventh hour and gets him.

Kentucky swooped in and stole him from Michigan State

First team
Buddy Hield, Sr., G, Oklahoma
Brice Johnson, Sr., F, North Carolina (Not gonna lie. No idea who he is...and don't care.)
Jakob Poeltl, So., F, Utah (Not gonna lie....see Brice Johnson.)
Tyler Ulis, So., G, Kentucky (Great, now transfer to Iowa, which is where you were originally gonna go until douchecalipari promised you money and the NBA, so we can win a national championship. Thank you.)
Denzel Valentine, Sr., G, Michigan State

Second team
Grayson Allen, So., G, Duke (I thought he intentionally tripped too many players to be eligible for this...................)
Malcolm Brogdon, Sr., G, Virginia
Perry Ellis, Sr., F, Kansas (And the legacy award goes to......)
Yogi Ferrell, Sr., G, Indiana
Jamal Murray, Fr., G, Kentucky (Because they needed at least two Kentucky players on the list.....otherwise, there really was no other reason. True story.)

Third team
Kris Dunn, Sr., G, Providence
Trevon Bluiett, So., G, Xavier
Georges Niang, Sr., F, Iowa State (Now the world will never know if Georges was better than Jarrod.....)
Ben Simmons, Fr., F, LSU (ESPN is pissed)
Jarrod Uthoff, Sr., F, Iowa

Kentucky swooped in and stole him from Michigan State
In an interview shortly after he signed with Kentucky he said he would have gone to Iowa if Kentucky hadn't come calling. Then last year he said it was Michigan State. Who knows which time he was telling the truth, we're talking about a kid who said relationships were going to be the deciding factor in his recruitment and then he commits to a coach he doesn't even know.

I don't remember him saying he would have gone to Iowa after he chose Kentucky. I didn't pay too much attention though I just remember him saying the Michigan State thing

I think it was an interview by courtside films (which was called Iowa Elites at the time) but I'm not going to try to dig up the video. Maybe someone else can confirm

I am a little surprised by Ullis. Very good player but did he really have a first team all-American year?

Or Marcus Paige, or Wes Washpun or Monte Morris... all of whom considered Iowa.

For all the "Fran has an eye for talent" stuff. He really missed the boat on Morris and Washpun.

He offered Washpun very late only after Ogelsby campaigned for him for about a year. WW was offended it took so long and declined the offer. Then Roy Marble Sr. tried to bring Morris to Iowa but Fran didn't offer because we had AC and MG committed a year before.

Thats painful to think about.
