Just an update on some things:

* On July 28, Iowa mens basketball announced that they were pausing workouts following two players testing positive for covid 19.

* Yesterday, JBo launched his new podcast titled "The Standpoint." The co-host is Zach Cohen.

* During yesterday's podcast, JBo revealed that 7 guys have tested positive for covid-19 in the last 3 weeks and that they shut down workouts for the rest of the summer.

* At Iowa, the protocol is for medical staff to begin contact tracing for anyone who tests positive, to isolate those who do and to quarantine anyone who might have been exposed to them.

Unsurprisingly no complications because none of them were probably actually sick. The a symptomatic rate is way over 90% in their age group. Unlikely any were even sick. Minimal symptoms, which about 90% of the 10% with symptoms are the next level, and that is a mildly elevated temperature for 24-72 hours.

P Mac should probably shelter in place until the rest of the team gets it or doesn't in the near future. I could see a two week cautionary period.

Dr. friend said there's a small but possibly optimistic scenario. P Mac might be building a kind of super immune system from all the post cancer vitamin and possibly other therapies. Still thought no contact for now would be safest.

If nobody gets it within two weeks after the last kid clears symptoms, or remains a symptomatic P Mac might as well play. At that point his chances on the court aren't really greater than just interacting with the general population.
