Knowing the NCAA they will shut this down
Children’s Hospital hopes they do as well. Imagine how many more donations will pour in once this goes national against the NCAA.God I hope they do. I just want to see the headline and the backlash.
They didn't want his old stinky shoes! Evidently someone picked them up and took them to the Iowa locker room......Feel free to make fun of me if I'm the only one...
But I thought he really left his shoes in Ames.
i figured he didn't want anything to do with the shoes that were all over that trashy courtFeel free to make fun of me if I'm the only one...

From a compliance issue, what is stopping any of the players from selling their stuff they get for free from the shoe companies?
I understand this is with a non-profit organization benefitting, but who is to say a player doesnt take half?
I don't think he controls the venmo, but like others have stated I hope this was properly vetted and complies with all NCAA rules. I cannot even imagine the ramifications if he were to sit out the rest of the year, then be ruled ineligible after the season because of this stunt (yes, make no mistake, it started as a stunt even if it is ending with a feel good)
According to his brother, it's currently up to $23,000. Jordan is hoping to get it to $50,000.
For sure. If they're going to start paying players for their likeness, don't see why this would be an issue, as long as its monitered, and he donates all the proceeds....Given the changing landscape NCAA Compliance won't say boo about this,... nor should they.
Didn't Alford get into a violation when he posed for a sorority calendar for charity while playing at Indiana and had to sit out a couple games pissing the General off?
considering all donations are done electronically, that would be pretty ballsy imoFrom a compliance issue, what is stopping any of the players from selling their stuff they get for free from the shoe companies?
