Heaven, Iowa
So, if Cuse gets in, this board will melt down once again LOL

Here's what Jerry has to say:

B-10 2nd round: Indiana 95 Iowa 73
Iowa probably saw its bubble popped today after a loss to Indiana. The Hawkeyes fell to 18-14 on the season, and despite some good wins, they just have too many negatives to expect to get in. Their profile is basically the same as Syracuse’s, except slightly better because of a couple of quality road wins.

Yeah, it's too bad we had maybe our worst possible matchup in the BTT present itself: a hot-shooting Indiana team.

I actually think Fran made a mistake in playing Indiana's preferred tempo (which is Iowa's preferred tempo). The first half was fool's gold for Iowa. If JBo doesn't go 5-7 from three, we're down 10-12. We should have played possession ball from the get-go, strategy being get to the bonus with 9+ minutes to go in each half.

Not sure it would have mattered, though. Indiana just had it all going today. When they pulled away in the second half, several of their threes were pretty damn well contested, and shots that they had to work to get.

I'm a silver lining guy. I like that Iowa's young team might have a very bad taste in its mouth going into the offseason—especially this young group.

I am as frustrated as anybody after the loss, but still love this team.

To me this game was lost early when we decided not to play transition defense.
It wouldn't have mattered the tempo. IU had it going from long distance and when they hit those and don't turn over the ball(as they have done all year) they are a very dangerous squad. Hawks ran into a buzzsaw tonight.
Still a great season by a talented group of frosh....Im still in the thinking that the future is indeed bright....

If Jok, Baer, Cook, Brady show up, we are in this game.

We just didn't match IU's hunger for some reason.

I never quite get that statement. I mean they outplayed Iowa hands down, but to say its because we weren't hungry? I'm sorry, not going there at all. Look Baer probably played his worst game all year, but not hungry? Cook, several cheap fouls early, and great post defense by IU, took him out of his game. Jok, I can't read that guy at all. If anything, I think we were too amped up for this game, because of its tourney implications. Evidence the number of jump shots we air balled in the first half.

realistically, one more win no matter where it came from would have gotten us in. Think Minny, Neb and Omaha.

Minny game would of sealed it.

If we play anyone else in the first round we probably win and are in Dayton. The bubble is flat out weak this year.
